Digital Radiography
One of the most important tools for any veterinarian is their x-ray system. Unlike humans, our furry friends do not have the capability to tell us what is wrong or where they may be hurting, so diagnostics such as blood work and x-rays are especially important.
For this reason, All Creatures has purchased a digital x-ray system for our practice. A digital x-ray can do much more than traditional x-ray systems. Once a picture of the area of concern is taken by the technician, the image is uploaded to a computer.
By having the image on the computer, the doctor is able to zoom in on small issues or manipulate the image to see a potential problem more clearly. By having the images on a computer it is also possible to email them to a specialist right away if our doctors find themselves in need of a more defined diagnosis.
